Sinarmas Energy & Mining is one of the world-largest natural resources based companies with operations in Indonesian archipelagos.

I was first hired as a Project Management Office (PMO) to help create the first PMO for the IT division and manage some of the IT department's initiatives. After six months of showing a good track record with successful PMO practices, I was transitioned to the General Management Office (GMO) to manage multiple projects across all divisions as a whole company.

My responsibilities from both positions included, but were not limited to:

  • Developed and managed project plans and processes.

  • Provided user training and project documentation.

  • Established and implemented project management standards.

  • As a Liaison between cross functional users, vendors, and management

  • Plan, analyse, monitor, and report all related to project

  • Compose and documenting business documents related to the project

  • Analyse current business process and system to provide business intelligence solution to be in-line with the digitization initiative from higher management

BIG DATA & IOT

PMO

Collaborate with technical, IT, and business teams to build big data and IoT solutions for Sinarmas.

IT AUDIT COORDINATOR

Cooperate with auditors and users to ensure a smooth audit.

Result: There were no significant findings, and the process went smoothly and finished early.

COMPANY BENCHMARK

PMO

Benchmarking identifies gaps in a company's performance to achieve a competitive advantage. It compares the company's performance to the best practices of other companies, both within and outside the industry.

Result: Company gained insight about their market and competition and upper management adjusted their strategy to fit with current market situation

COAL TRADING & COALPEDIA APPS

GMO

Develop a one-stop app for coal trading that provides useful information to all stakeholders (internal and external).

Result: Internal encyclopedia specific for coal mining industry that were used both by onshore and offshore employees.

LEADING KPI DASHBOARD

GMO

Develop dashboards for forecasting and decision-making, covering operational and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) KPIs.

Note: This project is for internal use only

Result: eKPI app and website where employee can submoit their KPI plan, goals, and tasks and HR can monitor in real time the progress and KPI for each employee across all sites (onshore & offshore)

SALES PRICE APPROVAL & MARKETING CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

GMO

Create an application to support sales and marketing internal activities, such as price approval, contract management, and shipping schedule.

Note: This project is for HR & upper management use only

Result: Digital document management where upper management can approve/reject the proposal from employees, forward the approved document automatically to the next approval and send out the approved document to client in real time.

EPMS KPI & BI DASHBOARD

Create a business intelligence dashboard that covers 4 areas: operational, marketing, executive, and quality.

Result: Internal Employee performance system that is monitored directly by upper management and employees can collaborate, published post and insight, and chat directly to each other
